Watching the news pictures of evacuation of population from the path of Hurricane Florence, it frustrates me very much that the flow can be made a lot smoother if POLICE will make the flow using extra one or both lanes from opposite direction (i.e. towards the coast line) for the car traffic.
So sad to see the EMPTY lane NOT being used for evacuation, can't anyone see the opposite lanes are totally empty, and if some cars do come from the wrong side, they can still use the shoulder for speedy flow. |
