Contrary to USA, Rich and powerful people are under attack in China under Xi, Now Saudi under the new regime. No more business as usual. Too much money via connections or power is not a good thing to lead the countries.
You may consider this as a power struggle to gain more power, but at least that will give average Joe feel better for his/her life as he/she lead their daily lives.
US on the contrary, is trying to keep the RICH richer. Honestly how much wealth does some one want.
Estate tax (rather death tax) may help to recapture some of the wealth AFTER death. And that was the reason for large shareholder corporation were set up, instead of private companies under family rule. |
