In spite of all the good things China did to the poor people and raised the general population living standards, why can we loosen the rein on the one party ruling a bit and give democracy a chance.
We had the cultural revolution that created a chaos for 11 years, led to many lives lost for no reason, other than tightening the power of one person, who was instrumental to bring China out of war and corrupt environment.
Unfortunately a peace worker just passed away for his belief.
China’s jailed Nobel Peace Prize-winner Liu Xiaobo dies. Liu, the 61-year-old author jailed for advocating an end to one-party rule, died from complications relating to cancer after an international push failed to secure his treatment overseas. |
