Economy via FIscal or Monetary policy

Last 10 years after the financial crisis, we had a almost zero Fed fund rate.  The result of which causes asset bubble in Canada big time.  Housing prices going sky high.

Today Yellen testimony for Congress showed that she might get a relief from New President elect.

No long does she have to support the economy via low or zero interest rate.   Trump will have the means to push through any infrastructure expansion projects via the cooperation of Republicans in charge of both Senate and House.   Lots of jobs will be created (double what could be created than a Clinton administration due to control of congress.   So monetary policy does not need to be the only tool there to keep people employed and economy going.   

So rumors has it that a .50 to .75 point rate increase could come in Dec , 16 FOMC meeting.
Then if Canada central bank rate remains low,  then definitely USD vs CAD will be above the 1.34 exchange, may be 1.4 and above.

Mid market rate just went from 1.342 to 1.352 now.  1 basis point increase.

You as agent should like high and increasing house price.

Your commission of 5 % is outrageous,  should have a fixed cost plus a variable portion, NOT everything Variable based on price.

China’s top economic planner approved a 247 billion-yuan ($36 billion) railway plan to link Beijing to neighboring cities as part of a government effort to improve connectivity around the nation’s capital.

The proposal is for nine lines connecting Beijing to the nearby port city of Tianjin and cities in northern Hebei province, as well as to a new airport in the capital, the National Development and Reform Commission said in a statement on its website Monday. The government is seeking a range of investors for the project, it said, without providing more details.

The links, planned for completion before 2020, add to measures to improve rail transportation between Beijing and the northern cities. The government also plans to set up more train stations in towns and smaller cities, as well as improve coordination among transit hubs to cut down travel time.
