跨越岛国的新干线

[size=12.8000001907349px]目前有几条新干线路线正在兴建，而另一些则在规划阶段。以下为目前四个正在建设的路线：

• 北陆新干线：从长野通过富山延伸至金泽，2015年春季通车。
  

• 北海道新干线：从青森通过青函隧道到函馆，2016年春季通车。
  

• 九州新干线（长崎线）：利用现有的轨道。竣工日期未定。
  

• 中央新干线：使用磁悬浮技术，计划在2020年连接甲府与相模原，在2027年连接东京和名古屋。 2040年会到达大阪。
