Once i was taught by my business prof,
my prof said "you guys should discuss effectively around this issue/concept"
At that time, i did not have any interest at discussing.
Since my strength is writing instead of talking, I totally screwed up the discussion part

Probbaly discussing by writing is better.
We live in a silent world.

I think not discussing openly is a normal behavior of Asian Culture.
One is not to show off and try to be a team player not to rock the boat.
The other is having the inferior complex not to show others that you are stupid.  No expression and not knowing if one is stupid.
That is a typical difference between Asian and Western culture.
Cooperation  vs Competition.
Communism vs Capitalism.  (funny thing now China is more Capitalist than USA).
