I was surprised to find high numbers for N Korea (22 M people). Anyway about 70 for US, 68 for China (after N. Korea), 45 for Russia.  But pure number is not important , it is the ones that can carry Nuclear ICBM missiles.  Like you said, a few can get rid of nation and not too many countries want to self destruct by shooting each other.  More like to deterrent tools  instead.

Same on the female soldiers.  
Apparently the honor guard avg height 176cm, age 20, 88% college and above, one was a top ten model, graduate of Fashion School.   They are trained to hold chopsticks in the mouth (better than a dick) to have a smile all the time.  MM should learn and me old dog will try too.  Anything to get attention of MM.  Funny is that they use steel rod held by their chests (has to be b or above) for parade alignment.  Amazing tools they use to enhance the appearance , no Plastic Surgeon services used (or not???).  I have to admit that was one of the major attraction for me of the parade SEPT 2 Eastern.

Read that Liu Cloud mountain is going to be the Host of the parade, not Chairman.  He is the right hand man of the Chairman.  If that is the case, he is the one on the way up now.
