九一八事變
Some of us might remember “July 7 1937’s Marco Polo Bridge Incident 蘆溝橋事變”, but few of us will remember “Sept 18 1931’s Incident 九一八事變”, I am therefore compiling the following to refresh our memory.
The Japanese Army was in North Eastern Provinces of China for a long time, but the “9/18 Incident” was the curtain raiser of Japan’s aggression which was contained in the “Tanaka Referendum 田中奏摺”.
(The Tanaka Referendum was a document prepared by Tanaka - the then Japanese Prime Minister, in which het spelt out what Japan must do to become a world power. The first step was to grab China’s north-eastern provinces (for coal & iron ore); the second step was to conquer China (for manpower & natural resources); & finally moving into S.E. Asia (for rubber, oil, & tin) . After swallowing these territories, Japan will become the centre of a so called “Sphere of Great East Asia Co-prosperity 大東亞共榮圈” which will then guarantee Japan’s ambition to become a long-lasting world power.)
WWII lasted less than 5 years in Europe, Japan’s aggression on China lasted much much, much longer. Japan’s atrocity on Chinese people put Nazi’s similar activities to shame, because easily 40 million Chinese perished, millions of families were broken & dislodged.
As Chinese, we can forgive, but should never forget.

chinese supposed to dominate the world decades ago..unfortunately chinese ppl have a tendency to fight among ourselves. we do not cooperate, nor collaborate.. we need to untie.. like south korea, like japan.. the world is ours, with our population, technology, it's really achievable. |

I almost forgot, today is SEP18, the anniversary of 9-18 Incident. 
I wish to revive this topic so that we do not forget this date!
The Japanese Imperial Military was defeated by US military fire power. China played its part in sucking in millions of Japanese troops at the expense of millions and millions of human lives & dislocation of families.
Today, under PM Abe, Japan is reviving its military dreams with the help of short-sighted American politicians! 
Anyway, never forget this date, never forget what the Japanese military did to the Chinese innocent people.
Two weeks ago, ISIS beheaded two American journalists, & the US Government branded it as monsters. Pres. Obama, please study history & tell us how many innocent Chinese were beheaded by the Japanese and how many US POWs were beheaded by Japanese in prison camps? |

I remembered reading The One c-hing mentioned about 918 two days ago. I learnt today that 918='國恥'. Should I find a Jap mm to revenge?  . If so, I did a couple of years ago to Mimi @ sg. I could not afford any more for Jap mm nowadays. They may not be genuine jap.
