Xfactor is a talent show with no limit to age of contestants. It is held all over the world.

This 9 year old girl in Holland who was self-taught, gave this performance which has gone viral:

Since I am on this subject, I will post this video clip from UK's Xfactor. It was the first audition for screening entrants, so there was no music background. This is the audition of Mary Byrne, who was the eventual winner of UK ‘s XFactor – 2012.

Pay attention to the judges' reaction when he first appeared.  The first song (female voice) changed all that, then he threw in a little humour by impersonating Ashley Simpson who cannot sing but used a tape recording, so the puppet just moved the mouth but no sound.

I used to follow all these Talent Shows & the best contestant over all these years, IMHO, was Niki Evans.  So, I dug up all that I could find re Niki for your enjoyment .
Starting with her audition, you will understand why she entered for the show because she found an entry form in her father’s belongings when he passed away the previous year, so she decided to finish her father’s wish & entered.
She dressed casually for the audition, didn’t expect much but the judges were overwhelmed by her voice & the ease which she could sing.
From later videos, you will notice her transformation both in appearance & the maturing of her voice after coaching.
She was the favourite going into the final of 2007’s UK X Factor but didn’t win as voters decided on the winner, & unfortunately there were a lot of young female TV fans who voted for a handsome young boy instead of her.  Niki turned pro after the X Factor, & I lost track of her…
