The Official Qualifying Session for the French F-1 GP has ended.

Hamilton, Bottas, and Vettel occupy the top three spots.

Vettel lived up to his reputation of a dirty driver & got away with it!

At the first corner, Vettel (starting 3rd) pushed Bottas (starting second), punctured Bottas' left rear tire but also damaged his own front wing.  Bottas spun, lost many places and speed, & limbed back to the pit for a tire change.

Vettel, though with front wing damaged, can rejoin the race with a loss of a few positions, but cut corners to save at least 6 more positions.  Vettel went into the pit for a new wing when official car was on the track due to a subsequent accident, also caused by him, and didn't lose position due to official car controlled the pace.

Vettel got away easily just like in the past and got only a 5" penalty (added to his finishing times).

Hamilton drove an accident free race and won.

Max, who started 4th, finished 2nd.

Kimmel Raikonnen secured 3rd for Ferrari.

As I said before, there is no justice when Ferrari is the culprit of causing an accident!

There are 13 races left for 2018.  Which Team and Driver could win 2018's Championship could well be decided by the end of July as there is a race almost one per week.

Both MB and Hamilton are leading.  This combination certainly has a better chance than others.

IMHO, Ferrari cheated with battery storage and usage issue, FIA turned a blind eye and about a month ago, and after investigation said "Ferrari will comply from now on", making fans interpret this to be "Ferrari did not comply previously but will now".  What kind of joke is this?

Vettel's on track behaviour in 2017 Azabaijan GP deserved much more severe penalty.   Vettel got off also lightly in the most recent race - the French GP.  Despite FIA'S LENENIENT treatment of both incidents,  they will haunt Vettel in the long run!
