Satisfactory sexual intercourse for couples lasts from 3 to 13 minutes, contrary to popular fantasy about the need for hours of sexual activity, according to a survey of U.S. and Canadian sex therapists.

The average therapists' responses defined the ranges of intercourse activity times: "adequate," from 3-7 minutes; "desirable," from 7-13 minutes; "too short" from 1-2 minutes; and "too long" from 10-30 minutes.

"A man's or woman's interpretation of his or her sexual functioning as well as the partner's relies on personal beliefs developed in part from society's messages, formal and informal," the researchers said. “"Unfortunately, today's popular culture has reinforced stereotypes about sexual activity. Many men and women seem to believe the fantasy model of large penises, rock-hard erections and all-night-long intercourse. "

None reported they did not know, or that width and length were equally satisfying. A large majority, 45 of 50, reported width was more important (p < .001).

Conclusion
Women reported that penis width was more important for their sexual satisfaction than penis length. The results were statistically significant. Penis width needs to be given more consideration, and taken into account when one discusses penis size. Also, it may be that Masters and Johnson [1,2,3] were wrong about penis size having little or no physiological effect on women's sexual satisfaction. However, the current data cannot provide a final answer, since they are based on self reports of women surveyed about penis length vs. width, and their sexual satisfaction. The results reflect either a psychological preference or a true physiological reality, but we cannot say which, with the present method that was employed.

Despite the result and conclusion, i still believe length is more important than width. i love the feeling of reaching the end of kitty tunnel. some mms love it too, this survey/ research is for civilians, not for mms so huge biased

between 6 to 15 mins r all considered normal, anything less than 6 is too short, more than 15 mins too long

when they say 1+, that includes foreplay, it can be 20 mins or even 40 mins long, varies from person to person, there r BBBJ, DATY, DIGITS, and cuddling getting to know each other period.

Really depends on who you're doing with too.. I can't last long with working ladies but I can hold quite a while with my gf tho. Much more feeling and intimacy with my girl and I wanna satisfy her more.

i am the opposite, i last longer with mms, shorter with my GF

i think there are a lot of factors in play, not just psychologically but also physically, like, how relax u r at the environment, stress from the limited time, length and variety of foreplay and tightness of kittes.
